Our strategy to make your home beautiful
Pre Painting Process
- Verify that the walls have been given enough time to cure.
- Inspect the surface for any leaks or moisture. Correct any issues you see of this nature before beginning to paint. Give them time to dry
- Patch any cracks. It should be handled using the suggested crack filling method.
- Sand the switch box and fill any nail holes with primer.
- Be sure to clear the space of all movables. If you’re unable to, put it in the middle of the space and cover them.
- Make sure to protect the floors.
Surface Preparation
- Cleaning – Scrub the wall region. It should be dust-free.
- Ensure that all of the old paintwork and batches of loose plaster are scrubbed off. If you’re painting an outdated wall.
- Use sandpaper to scrub for a dry finish.
- Cover any building components that need to be shielded from paint splatters, such as doors, windows, switch-plates, furniture, etc.
Steps of Interior Painting
- Caulking – Use caulking to seal up-sidewall gaps around doors and windows.
- Primer- Use one layer of Primer. We’ve previously spoken about the significance of primer.
- Putty- Apply a single coat of putty. The putty paint will give the wall a smooth finish and correct any undulations on the surface of the wall.
- A word of caution- Putty is incredibly pricey. You end up with a significant hole in your pocketbook if the wall has more undulations.
- Paint– After completing the putty, ask the electricians to fix the switch box. Once the switch boxes are repaired, make careful to cover them to prevent paint from getting on them. Paint the surface twice.
